The Art Department Gallery is proud to present "BOSQUE" a two person show featuring artists Anke Scholfied and Luis Garcia-Nerey. For this specific exhibit both artists have focused on bringing forest elements to their own individual works. Although the artists do not typically use these elements the transition is proven to be fascinating. From their already rich and powerful paintings, emerge animals and tree's as if they had always existed there. "The concept behind the show was initially to inject forest thematics into our pieces". "From that, the project grew into more of a social commentary on the interaction between humans and animals and the roles they play on the enviroment".
